March 24, 201115 yr I read an article here about installing FSX Gold, in a different folder in C drive (Windows7 64 bit)which I did. FSX microsoft flight simulator X. Everything seemed fine & at the end of install I chose not to run it. I was going to install Accelerator under the same name so that add ons wouldn't be a problem but it wouldn,t install because FSX hadn't been activated yet. So I went to C drive & opened FSX which held all the individual subfiles but I couldn't find how to run it. Any help out there?? Do I have to uninstall it & try over only this time activating it?

March 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks...I looked for that one in the list but it wasn't there...but there was one that just said FSX...I clicked that one & it took me right to the activate screen. So far everything seems ok but I haven't loaded accelerator yet. I would presume I should send it to exactly the same folder that I put FSX in , right? And thanks responding quickly...I am totally unfamiliar with FSX & not very experienced in messing around with files. My world has been in FS9 & XP

My world has been in FS9 & XPOK.. you have "hide common file extensions" enabled. That is why it shows up as "fsx". http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows-show-extensions.htmlYes, go ahead and install Accelerator to the same folder. Bert
March 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks again Bert...I will load acclerator there as well. Just one more question...maybe 2. Do you think I will have any problems loading add-on programs to the same file? And which do you feel is the best traffic program for FSX?

And which do you feel is the best traffic program for FSX?Most add-ons will find the folder by themselves. As to traffic - I'll defer to others to offer an opinion. My first rule for traffic is to turn it down to get better FSXperformance. Starting with freeway traffic = 0. Bert
