  1. I can't seem to be able to change the softkey from GPS to LOC for an approach on the MFD? Please clue me in.
  2. I hope it is ok to ask this here but is anyone else having problems getting in to FTX and the Flightsim store?
  3. I get this error about 40 % of my flights: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC000014B): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000014B at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo) at Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.SimConnect.ReceiveDispatch(SignalProcDelegate pfcnSignal) at Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.SimConnect.ReceiveMessage() at rexwxengine2.controls.ucLoadAircraftLocation.DefWndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.UserControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5477 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- rexwxengine2 Assembly Version: 2.5.2010.38549 Win32 Version: 2.5.2010.1027 ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5468 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect Assembly Version: 10.0.61259.0 Win32 Version: 10.0.61637.0 (FSX-Xpack.20070926-1421) ---------------------------------------- msvcm80 Assembly Version: 8.0.50727.6195 Win32 Version: 8.00.50727.6195 ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- System.Data Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. I have no idea what any of this means but it crashes FSX . If I can't rectify this problem I'm going to remove REX...or will that even solve my problem......any ideas?
  4. I am looking for a model AI aircraft in westjet paint either share or payware for FSX. Is there anything out there? I was hoping Perfect Flight would come out with one.
  5. My favs right now is the c182t & the jetstream 31/41...now thats an a/c! I was a controller for 30 yrs and saw a lot of the 31...it is a great performer...it looks fast ,sounds fast and is fast. We had to be careful not to launch one up the butt of even some of the slower biz jets.
  6. Wow...you guys know your stuff...I agree that some of the mentioned limitations are annoying but this a\c is providing very enjoyable flight hours for me. The g1000 can be a little frustrating but it is fun to mess with it while enroute. The sound , visuals and flying performance is awesome. I have been critical of some previous carenado a\c but I love this one. I take my hat off to the previous tag authors knowledge of the g1000 but in my case I am fat dumb and happy....so to speak.
  7. Not all tasks are available on the c182t g1000 but is very good and well worth the $....best a/c I own.
  8. Before I spend some $$ on UT Canada & USA I wonder if anyone could tell me if I could download UT with FTX central on FSX dedault and not cause problems if I want to use UT outside of FTX areas. It sounds like FTX is not going to cover very many other NA areas and UT is a huge step up from FSX. Thanks.
  9. wow...thanks for all the info....I definitelywill look into all of the suggested possibilities. I don't mind spending some cash as long as it is a good product. One more question...I promise... Is it difficult to install sound files into FSX? I'm looking for the easiest product as my skills as a PC user are rather limited. cheers!
  10. Thanks for the reply...I guess I tried those buttons but was trying to move the cursor to the arrivals list but it probably wasn't prohrammed for it but I was able to move the cursor to select the approach. Thanks much. One more thing...since the FSX baron has decent graphics would a sound panel be worthwhile or save the $ for the Carenado BE58?
  11. I have been flying the FSX BE58 with the garmin 1000 glass cockpit & can't seem to figure out how to move the cursor bar when I select "Procedure". It automatically comes up to the "Approach". I can select "enter" but can't find the right button to move the cursor up or down to make any other selection in that box. Any help out there? I would appreciate it.
  12. Thank you all for your input. I have been using Traffic 2005 in FS9 up to a month ago when I purchased a new & much faster computer. I had about 1K in addon software & now it's time to start adding new ones for FSX. I found forums about traffic programs in several places but most were out dated & I wanted to make sure I had all the info needed. It appears though that again it is buyers preference & that there is no clear winner. The reason I purchased traffic 2005 was because I got tired of Ultimate traffic from running over other a/c on approach. Traffic 2005 had AI smooth which worked well but I see they didn't include it with Traffic X. I believe it can still be downloaded from avsim to whatever software I purchase so I guess I get out the coin to toss to see which one wins.Thanks again for your opinions.
  13. After almost 2 years of patches & changes for AI traffic software is there a clear winner of My Traffic X ( pro ) Ultimate Traffic2 & Just flight Traffic X in 2011?
  14. Thanks again Bert...I will load acclerator there as well. Just one more question...maybe 2. Do you think I will have any problems loading add-on programs to the same file? And which do you feel is the best traffic program for FSX?
  15. Thanks...I looked for that one in the list but it wasn't there...but there was one that just said FSX...I clicked that one & it took me right to the activate screen. So far everything seems ok but I haven't loaded accelerator yet. I would presume I should send it to exactly the same folder that I put FSX in , right?And thanks responding quickly...I am totally unfamiliar with FSX & not very experienced in messing around with files. My world has been in FS9 & XP
  16. I read an article here about installing FSX Gold, in a different folder in C drive (Windows7 64 bit)which I did. FSX microsoft flight simulator X. Everything seemed fine & at the end of install I chose not to run it. I was going to install Accelerator under the same name so that add ons wouldn't be a problem but it wouldn,t install because FSX hadn't been activated yet. So I went to C drive & opened FSX which held all the individual subfiles but I couldn't find how to run it. Any help out there?? Do I have to uninstall it & try over only this time activating it?
