March 25, 201115 yr Hi everyone. :)I want to buy a new PC for FSX. But first of all I want to remark that I won't overlocking anything (I have never done it, I haven't got any idea about it and I won't do it ;) ).I have got the graphic card from my old PC - it is Gainward GeForce GTS 250 512 MB. Is it ok for FSX or not? Do you use this card or buy a new one?And what I expect from FSX? I want to fly on VATSIM by PMDG MD-11 or PMDG 747 (later NGX and 777 of PMDG as well - but it is a long future). It will be great when FPS during approaching on ex. EDDM Scenery of Aerosoft is ok. I want to use REX, UT, GE as well.About cash I might spend 3 000 PLN - it is about 725 euro. Thanks for any suggestion
March 25, 201115 yr Phuuuuuuh..... FSX and no overclocking doesn't go together very well.My opinion, if you don't want to OC:2500k + GTX570 + 8GB of 1600/CL7 RAM and a board in some 150€ range.I think that will give you the best bang for the buck when it comes to FSX and NO OC.Current card, crap for FSX.
March 25, 201115 yr If you're in a budget and not overclocking, an I5 2500, H67 board and 4GB of 1333 CL7 RAM is fine. You will not be saving all that much anyway, about 60€ maybe, so you might want to stretch for a 2500K, P67 board and 4GB of 1600 CL7 just to be covered in case you eventually decide to give OC a chance
March 25, 201115 yr Author Thanks for replying.dazz - 2500K and least 4 GB 1333 RAM CL7 will be good enough with my old Gainward GTS 250 512 MB graphic card?Word Not Allowed - also thanks for your opinion. :) Unfortunatelly I will have to stay with the graphic card. :/ Maybe in the future...And also which motherboard do you recommend from MSI?Thanks a lot. :)

March 25, 201115 yr Author No, he haven't got any online store. He has got all products of MSI.Here we go: http://eu.msi.com/index.php . :)And another question: what is better: slower i7 or faster i5? For example i7 4x2,4 or i5 4x3,3 (for example 2500K)? :)
March 25, 201115 yr Go ahead and get a K processor and P67 motherboard so that when you decide you want to overclock after all (like when you realize how easy it is), you can. March 25, 201115 yr OC is safely achieved thanks to better coolers. As long as you have a good cooler and don't exceed the cpu voltage setting, it's very safe. MSFS
