March 26, 201115 yr Hi,After weeks of hard coding, 737NG Takeoff Analysis tool is about to release. This will be a freeware for all operators operate 737NG fleet delivered by PMDG.Here are some screenshots (NO DATA SHOWN BELOW CAN BE USED FOR OPERATIONAL PURPOSE):Currently, performance data of 737-800 CFM56-7B26 Flap 5 Full Thrust Take off, wind (-15 to 40 knots), OAT (-40 to 50 Celsius) is modeled based on FCOM. If anyone can secretly give me an AFM, improved the climb performance will be modeled :)In the future release, wider range of data may be modeled according to FPPM.This tool is developed by me for so-called "PMDG Charter Airlines Dispatch Office". PMDG Charter Airlines has no direct relation with PMDG® except all its aircrafts will be delivered by PMDG®. The relation between these two is similar to Delta Airline and Delta Virtual Airline. You will be able to download this tool from PMDG Charter Airlines’ official website (which is still under construction) when it starts operating. Now it's waiting for the delivery of NGX... :( Howie Wong --- Howie Wong
March 26, 201115 yr Author Major features for now:- Will be totally free for PMDG 737NG operators. (Use for aircraft not delivered by PMDG is strictly prohibited by EULA).- Accurate calcualtion (linear planning method) based on FCOM dispatch performance data and inflight performance data.- Easy to make performance data file and runway data file.- Lineup distance, clearway, stopway, obstacle, etc... everything is taken into account.More to go:- Wider performance data based on FPPM (difficulty: it's hard to get data from FPPM since they're graphical...)- Improved Climb performance and obstacle analysis based on AFM (difficulty: I have no AFM and still, they're graphical...)Solution:After I finish the website, people can make their own data by using ressources they have and upload it to our website. --- Howie Wong
March 26, 201115 yr Thanks, it will be very good!Personally, i use TOPCAT for the Perfomance Calculation ... José Fco. March 26, 201115 yr The tool looks nice, but be careful with trademarks, brand logos, copyright and such things. "A life is like a garden. March 27, 201115 yr Author Thanks, it will be very good!Personally, i use TOPCAT for the Perfomance Calculation ...For Takeoff performance calculation, there is no big difference between my tool and TOPCAT now. But yes, TOPCAT can calucate more things such as landing performance. I may add these functions later. One important barrier for me is that I have no AFM... Which means- I cannot model Improved Climb Performance since Obstacle Limited Weight in FCOM or FPPM cannot be used for Improved Climb Performance operation :( Unless there is no obstacle.- Data Calculated based on FCOM or FPPM results in more penalty than those calcualted based on AFM. Less weight = Less $$$ for an operator...So if someone can send me a copy of AFM, that will be really appreciated... What's more, does anyone have any good idea on how to sample data from those graphs in FPPM? It's a huge task to do all of them by hands.I may develop an online calculation tool so people will not be able to get data from my data file, this may help protecting the copyright? But what if someone gets data from TOPCAT?...Thanks,Howie Wong --- Howie Wong
March 27, 201115 yr I may develop an online calculation tool so people will not be able to get data from my data file, this may help protecting the copyright? But what if someone gets data from TOPCAT?...I think the copyright reference was regarding using PMDG logo and name in your application. At a glance it looks like an official PMDG product. You may have to think about removing the logo and PMDG references in your list box.
March 27, 201115 yr Author I see... that's a joke... I'll remove it in the final release. Thanks. --- Howie Wong
