I'm looking to populate the skies from the bottom up. I'm looking for all general aviation packages and have come up with this list so far. I'm having difficulty finding some of these packages, but I think I'll persevere and locate them all.But there are still more airplanes out there, for which AI models exist. Mike Cronin has donated several excellent AI models, such as the Cirrus SR-20, PC-6, Piper Cheyenne, Piper Malibu, DHC-2 Beaver, V-tail Bonanza, and an Aero Commander (to mention a few), none of which have flightplans. SBAI make a great looking Raytheon Premier, but no flightplans. Henry Tomkiewicz, bless his heart, is still lacking flightplans for his Cessna 404. It strikes me a bit strange that with all the effort that goes in to making a model, it falls short at the flightplans. Now Markus Brunner made GA-Traffic to generate random flightplans for general aviation traffic. However, I am concerned about maintaining the realism of aircraft movements with it. For example, if there are 2,000 V-tail Bonanza's in existence, I do not want it to generate flightplans for 4,000 aircraft. Call it stupid psychology, but I prefer prepackaged downloads where someone else has compiled the plans.So, my question is what am I missing? Am I missing any packages? Am I missing any flightplans? Am I missing any aircraft? Feel free to comment on my comments, leading to a comment on comment on comment relationship.

There are some GA packages here at AVSIM and also from ReggieF on his site. His use the default FS planes.

Right, and I've listed the ones I've found in the library. All of them, I hope. The default AI is not really applicable, as it has several drawbacks.

Hi,You mis-read my post. The Field's plans use the default planes but uses hand-made plans. They are not default.Now, if you don't want to use the default GA planes, then that is something different!

Causing AI flightplans to use other aircraft is a simple matter of editing the Aircraft.txt prior to compiling with TTools. Use Reggie's plans, but edit the aircraft.txt before you compile them so they use the HTAI aircraft instead of default. If you don't have TTools download it from one of the file libraries, read the documentation that comes with the package (ReadMe.htm), it's the best resource out there on building custom AI traffic for FS9.Jim

Oh don't worry, I'm quite versed in installing AI. I've been using FS since I got a copy of FS2000 Pro. Really what I'm looking for is if I'm missing any packages or such.

My apologies, that is a file in the library with flightplans for them. I haven't researched models, but I believe for the Dassault's the only model available is a Falcon 20.
