So far assembling my new rig is going ok...This is my first time making a PC from ground up all alone. My first rig I had a friend who builds his own help me out.So please bear with me - I'm going very slow on this build. And I already have a few questions (with pictures yay!)1) I'm a little confused with the front panel headers on the mobo, and the (lack of) cabling coming from the case. First off there is no + or - label on the cables themselves, but it is labeled on the mobo. The cables are all black so I can't really tell which is positive and which is negative. However, on the back of the cables there is a tiny triangle (raised up) that points to one prong. Is that perhaps telling me the prong is positive? Also, apparently the 650D has no pc beep speaker otherwise there would be a "SPEAK" header cable correct? I didn't see one anywhere. I did look at the gigabyte manual and I will have no CI header. I'm really confused about the MSG header. As shown in the pic all the header cables are plugged in (for the front panel at least). And I have empty slots for msg, speak, and ci. Per the mobo manual, MSG connects to the power button (I think its the LEDs or something), but I don't have a cable for that. Also on the mobo the PWR LED header slot has 3 prongs. The case cabling has one option: tiny single pronged + and -. How do I know if I plugged those in correctly? See how I have a 1 prong gap in the middle?fpanel.jpg2) USB3 header cables... ummm there are non from my case. But from the front panel comes two standard USB3 cables. Am I supposed to plug them into the back USB3? If I'm understanding correctly, cases do not yet have usb3 header cables so we have to use the standard cables, plug into the back ports, and then use the front ports??usb3huh.jpg3) Mystery cables come from the inside top of my case. What are they for? The majority of this set appear to be two pronged headers of some sort. Where would they go? In this bunch there is also what looks to be a 4pin power cable, maybe for a hard drive or something?mystcable1.jpgmystcable2.jpgAnd here's just a basic pic of my WIP LOL! MESSY!build.jpg

1) I couldn't really tell you about the cables +/-. All of those except the power header are for LEDs, so I'm not sure +/- matters. I actually don't plug in my lights because they annoy me. Also, I don't think beep speakers are common nowadays.2) Yep, for now you will have to route them through the back of the case and plug them into ports on the back IO panel. One of the Corsair reps talked as if they would eventually come out with a kit to switch the USB3 for internal headers, but he didn't necessarily make any promises.3) I'm assuming that jumble of cables is intended for fans to be controlled by the fan speed controller on the top of the case. The big molex plugs into the PSU to provide power for all the fans.Your setup looks excellent. I would only recommend flipping the h60 radiator so the tubes come from the bottom. This is only to make sure no air gets sucked from the radiator into the pump. I can't wait to see how you like your system once you get it all running!

1. Yes the arrow means positive. 2. Basically yes. There is no USB 3 header, so you would route those regular cables out of the water cooling holes in the back, and plug them into your MOBO. If you would rather use the mobo connections instead, you can leave the front USB 3 unplugged, and just not use them. 3. The 2 prong connectors are most likely fan headers. It is hard to tell from the pic though. Do you have top or front fans? If so, these connectors are probably for them. Since they are 2 pin connectors, if they are indeed for fans, the would plug into the mobo directly. The molex (four pin) cable only has two wires going into it. (+12v or +5v and a ground wire) it is also probably a fan connector. If you have other fans on molex connectors, you can link the connectors together, (up to about 5 fans) and then connect it to one single molex from the PSU. Let me see if I can find a downloadable manual for that case and get back to you though on these cables, cause I can't tell from the picture.EDIT: Cory beat me to it.

Ok, I think Eussfander (sp?) answered the triangle meaning positive. I'll re arrange the headersThanks I found a small square hole in the back of the case, and once on corsair forums, found it was the proper hole to route the usb3 cables out of to the back3) Yes! Thank you, I confirmed this is for the very basic fan controller! Now, can I just skip the controller and plug in the fans to the various mobo headers? This is what I've done so far. Would the fans still work? Of course they'll only have 1 setting, no variable speed without the controller. I've heard the fan controller sucks on this case anyway and most people just run the fans at max otherwise they make that annoying sound (fix is on the way though from what I hear on the corsair forums)I will flip the rad tomoorow thanks again corey and eussfander! The case is already messy and I've not even installed the power cables yet roflz!! I will admit those gromets help conceal the internal case cables though! Going to stop for the night and finish tommorrow! Gee I hope this thing powers on tomorrow HAHA!

Yeah, you can plug in the fans wherever you want. Corsair has already released the fan fix.
