April 2, 201115 yr I was wondering, if after installing RC in FSX, do you have to reinstall for FS9 ? .....
April 2, 201115 yr You install a second time for FSX. You use the same registration key I believe. There would be no charge if it needs a different key. Just use the same e-mail address as you used the first time. I assume both are on the same PC.You will end up with two copies of the RC folder, one version for FS9 and FSX. Set up two shortcuts, one for each, using their respective folders. For each version you'll need to put in the correct FS Path for each in RC settings and also each time you run the scenery rebuild (so the data does not get mixed up between the two). I recommend you create two text files with a shortcut for each (such as FS9 Path and FSX Path) each containing your full path to the respective folder for each version. That way from your desktop you can bring up the path for each version as necessary, highlight the phrase, Copy (ctrl-c), switch back to the RC rebuild scenery dialog, place the cursor, and paste by hitting ctrl-v. It saves a lot of full path typing subject to errors and also gives you a unique name for each FS version path reducing errors like using the wrong scenery for the FS version. Here's what I have for FS9's path text file:h:\program files\microsoft games\flight simulator 9Be sure from the pinned posted links you update makerys.exe and FSUIPC3 after you do your RC installation for FS9 and rerun your RC scenery rebuild.

April 3, 201115 yr Ronzie i tried, couldnt find my old key # so tried to reregister and they never sent me another key
April 4, 201115 yr You must be using an e-mail address of your original install so the auto-response will recognize you. jd is out of town right now for a few days but I'm sure he'll be checking in midweek. If you don't get a new key automatically the e-mail him with your original e-mail address at [email protected] and explain your situation. If you can (after backing it up) get your hands on your existing keyboard.dat file in your current RC folder your key is the last entry in it. You can see if that works however if you placed a new OS with reformatting your disk it will not be valid.
April 4, 201115 yr Also be sure jdtllc.com is allowed through your spam folder. Check it to see if it is already there.
