November 24, 200322 yr Don't feel sorry, Jim, it was a pleasure to read your post! I felt exactly the same after my first session with the SF.260 (still in FS2002), except that I could not recover from the power on stall ;) I had never crashed during takeoff before ... not because I'm such a great pilot, but because most FS planes are so forgiving.Rob Young has created a lot of excellent flight models, but the ones for the SF.260, Super Decathlon and the freeware Cessna 172 addon seem to be the best of the best.VOlker :]
November 24, 200322 yr Hi Volker,We're hoping to update the RealAir 172 shortly...when we find the time. We're going to improve stall behaviour and a few other things.Stand By!Rob Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

November 24, 200322 yr You are preaching to the choir. It is one of my favorites and I never get tired of it. Looking forward to getting the Decathalon soon. This what flight simulation is supposed to be.
November 24, 200322 yr OK -I bought the SF260 when it first came out for FS2K2. The BESTaircraft I've flown in the sim! I just downloaded the FS2004upgrade for the SF260, but yet need to install it.Sight unseen, I'm going to purchase the Super Decathalon!RealAir is a superior, high quality company.Their work is top notch, bar none! Thanks RealAir, Rob, Sean, and the whole team!!!!!JerryG
November 25, 200322 yr All this talk of the SF260 in FS9 has me envious, still waiting for my email from RealAir, but I can wait :-)
November 25, 200322 yr Hi Jim,I like racing sims but never bought GP Legends, do you know if it will run on 'modern' OS's and hardware and/or is there something similar out there now?

November 25, 200322 yr Thanks Rob.I don't have blocker but with the amount of spam I receive I may have inadvertantly deleted you email.Email on its way to you with purchase details. Thanks for your prompt reply.
November 25, 200322 yr HI Vulcan,GP legends runs fine on any recent windows platform, but there is one major patch and a few utilities to add which improves graphics, functionality and performance, plus of course all the brilliant new paintjobs, tracks and other goodies at the main GPL sites.I'm with Jim on this software. It may not be as slick as some of the current F1 sims, but it has bags of atmosphere and marvellous character, and as Jim says the car dynamics are wonderful.Forget the F1 games with cars on rails going round 150 moh corners with barely a drift. In GP legends you can do full on four wheel drifts and control that drift precisely with throttle.Several years after being released it wipes out all the competition hands down.I thoroughly recommend it.Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 25, 200322 yr VulcanNo problems i,m running GPL on XP pro with a 3 gig p4 and a geforce 4 4400.There is also an opengl driver which really boosts the FPS on lower end systems. As Rob mentioned the new car paint jobs are astounding,so real looking.Best of all is VROC which allows online racing ,thats when the fun really begins, addictive does not describe it.Check this site out its got lots of info and then somehttp://forum.racesimcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=36CheersJohn
