November 24, 200322 yr For some reason I can't get Brian Williams's Citation Panel to install. I follow the instructions but the default Lear panel keeps appearing. I also downloaded his subsequent panel fix because apparently there was some problem with the first, but it still doesn't work. Do I have to delete anything before I install the panel? Also when installing the fix, do I have to delete his first panel or does the fix incorporate it? This is my first attempt to install a panel so any help would be appreciated.Jim
November 24, 200322 yr Jim,I was able to use the original panel to install with no problems. Make sure you have three files in the panel folder of the aircraft. These should be panel.cfg, citation_main.bmp, and citation_hyd.bmp. Also make sure that your panel.cfg does NOT reference the Lear panel. If all of the gauge files when to the gauge folder it should work. (hopefully)I am not sure what the panel fix does. It appears that all of the files in the gauges.zip file are the same as the original ones. Also, I am not clear what to do with the EGDIR files. I have never installed xml files in a panel folder before so this is new to me!Perhaps someone can pop in here and help us both!Good luck!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
November 25, 200322 yr Author Airbus is right, of course, on the panel install itself. And all you need is those three files in the panel folder. I am not sure what that fix was all about; someone may have rattled his cage and panicked him into uploading all the default cab gauges, which is what he did I think, uncabbed; plus there were a load of other icon files which are not necessary if you have a standard FS9 install. In fact, be careful you don't overwrite newer files. If things still don't work for you, there is always the last resort of emailing the author! His address is in his README. It's [email protected] Seems to be a fairly nice panel, anyway, although I haven't flown it much yet apart from my usual test from Seattle Intl. to Boeing Field (if a plane can't fly that, it can't fly!). We certainly needed something for the new Citation, so his timing was excellent.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Dunno why the email has appeared with HTML attachments but you get the message, I think.http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
