I'm starting to get the MD-11 training while waiting for the NG.I've seen numberous air data out of data errors on the FMS in 747, etc.Does anybody recommend getting the NAVIgraph data for the FMS? I assume the FMS aircyles updata the FMS data base?What about STARS/SIDS are these different?Also, once installed to I have to do anything with the PMDG products to get them to work right?Thanks,BB BillyBob David M. April 9, 201115 yr 1. I recommend getting updates from the supplied PMDG cycle. Get Navigraph if you are after full realism. Planepath is free, but only in the US and has run into some financial woes so is current as of December. But things don't change too much cycle-to-cycle anyway.2. (Not exactly sure what you are asking here.) PMDG has one set of data files. This is used throughout the aircraft so there are no differences if you do everything correctly.3. Yes, cycle updates include SIDs and STARs and are excellent. Although for full realism you may want to edit some to your liking (which is very easy once you 'get' it).4. Any Nav Data update is completely automatic. You wont have to do a thing with the product. The only time you will have to is if the update does not come with an installer, then it is a simple paste-over of the supplied files.
