  1. I was told D'Andre moved on from ADX to other things in life (well paying job, family, etc.). I've kept him on the team page since he was in the initial seed/Founder. Apparently, D'Andre would financially afford to fully commit and devote substantial time to ADX for that period in his life.

  4. Hi All, I am in super-duper desperate need of a new system. Dell’s Outlet early Black Friday sales didn’t disappoint with 31% off list price for the below “Sick” system. Alienware Area 51 Intel Core 7th Generation i9-7980XE Processor (18 Core, 2.6GHz, 24.75MB Cache, 165W) 2TB PCIe M.2 Class 40 Solid State Drive 64GB HyperX DDR4 Memory XMP at 2933MHz Dual NVDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti with 11GB GDDR5X each NVIDIA SLI enabled (Liquid Cooled) 1,500 W Power Supply New Dell Ultrasharp 32” 4K Monitor. Due to arrive this comming Saturday. My request for advice is regarding Lockheed Martin P3D Version 4 installation. In my old self-built custom system (detailed below in the footer) had a Western Digital (WD) Velociraptor HD devoted to the Operating System Only. Next I had P3Dv4 with aircraft installed on a separate WD Solid State Drive (SSD). Next all photo and Orbx scenery was installed on another separate WD SSD. I will install these two newer separate WD SSD’s into the new Alienware Area 51 and reformat them. My question is how should I do my P3Dv4 installation and add-one to maximize overall P3Dv4 performance? This will be a Microsoft Window 10 Professional operating system. Will installing P3Dv4 on a separate SSD from OS SSD slow down or increase P3Dv4 performance? I’m pretty sure scenery (photo + Orbx) + aircraft will be best on a separate SSD’s than the installed P3Dv4 installed SSD. Any thoughts on this? Lastly, I’m a long-time user of Ultimate Defrag. I’ve used Ultimate Defrags’ new SSD defragmentation algorithm occasionally with big installations and updates. I’ve read arguments favoring and against SSD defragmentation (Finite and limited read and write cycles). Any advice, recommendations or insight on this matter? Any ideas, advice, information and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Thank You and Happy ThanksGiving!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gobble Gobble!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave
  5. I’ll have to give this a try. Thanks guys!
  6. Hummm.. Pay $39 USD to be a Beta tester........
  7. It's working fine now after re-re-install. Thanks All! BillyBob David
  8. Thanks! I'll give that a try. BillyBob
  9. I’ll try this. It looks like some anomaly. It’s specific to only the JF Arrows and the prop lever works perfectly in all other add-on’s. I’m only using Logitech Extreme 3D pro joystick with it’s one throttle slider assigned to throttle and am using the mouse cursor to try to adjust the prop. I’ll try unplugging joystick, uninstalling and reinstalling FSUIPC and assigning the prop axis to joystick slider to see if that does anything. Thanks Simbol and Scott for your help and responding! Have a great weekend! BillyBob David
  10. Hi All, I bought the Just Flight Arrow IV and Turbo Arrow IV. The prop lever doesn’t work. It’s stuck at 100% full forward. If I adjust (decrease) it just immediately springs back (yes, it’s animated) to 100% full forward. I have this problem with both the ArrowIV and Turbo Arrow IV. Just Flight technical support says it’s definitely not their plane and is an issue with P3D. They didn’t want to advise or help any further... I doubled checked all the key inputs and axis assignments to make sure there weee no conflicts. This is the only plane I have that has this problem. Yes, I have the most current versions d/l from JF. Yes FSUIPC is installed. I has this exact same issue come up on a beta build with the Milviz Otter and it was immediately fixed on the next build. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks, BilllyBob David Edwards
  11. Hopefully the EZdok2 folks will have an update too... BillyBob David Edwards
  12. Thank You! For some silly reason I posted it as 747-800. I’d been reading all the stories that United flew its last 747-400 flight and for some silly reason was thinking the 747-8i and 747-8F was 747-800. Sorry for the confusion.. Billybob Dabid Edwards
  13. Dear fellow flight simulationists and flight stimulators, In preparation for the forth coming PMDG 747-800, I'd recommend and suggest getting prepared with the Just Planes "747-800 ABC [Air Bridge Cargo]" HD cockpit video (240 mins.) http://www.worldairroutes.com/airbridge.html Happy Holidays! BillyBob
  14. Sorry, I should have made that a much more general statement for the baby crier posts, etc. Have a great weekend! Billybob
  15. As per PMDG POLICY no release dates exist for these phenomenal products. PLEASE cool down and let PMDG do their jobs most of them have dedicated their lives to. This response is exactly why there is a no release date policy. If you’re looking for that Carenado will take care of that with their 4 Service Packs for the Piper Seneca IV for example, in their forum. Be wise and relax. Cheers, Billybob
  16. Thank you Captain Randazzo, We appreciate your candid and sincere post and your companies unwavering determination to continue to have the absolute highest fidelity models on the market, bar none! This is exactly why PMDG is beloved to the fs community. Unfortunately, since having a 10 month old baby in the house and a demanding wife, I won't be able to sift through the Captains Manual set like on the NG. Sorry, you guys will be excessively laboring during Labor Day weekend. Cheers, Billybob
  17. I did my instrument and commercial training at KDVT (Deer Valley) North Phoenix, WestWind School of Aeronautics. KDVT was very close to Glendale. The city started building the new stadium for the Cardinals, and my neighbor moved his retirement to the senior Glendale community. Phoenix isn't the greatest place to earn an instrument rating. No clouds at all, I obtained my instrument rating without flying through a single cloud. Hahaha. Would have been much better to do it here in my hometown KPDX and get some real IFR time, with icing avoidance, in the mountains, etc. I finally got my loans paid off last year. What a relief!!
  18. My mistake guys. This Game Daily report for 280,000 copies of FSX sold in 2007 alone was ONLY in the U.S. ( I assume that's the lower 48). We'll assume the number of copies sold in Unakleet, Alaska where the Jim Tweeto clan resides is nominal. Doesn't FSX have international support??? Gotta love it.. RSR livin the dream!!
  19. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/01/28/news-just-in-world-of-warcraft-sells-many-copies/ No wonder RSR can afford his own aircraft. Though we do understand it's not John Travolta time with a B707 terminal built into the house. Hey guys, lets not go overboard here. If we buy too many copies of the PMDG 777. RSR may just retire and shut down the shop and retire in Glendale, AZ. Ha ha ha! According to a Game Daily report, in 2007 alone there were 280,000 copies of FSX sold.
  20. Visuals both cockpit (with exception to basic G1000 displays), cabin and exterior are absolutely outstanding in general! Bug: My one bug reported to Carenado, is a "skipping" sound nearly identical to that of an old record (vinyl) player skipping on the engine sound. This skipping noise appears at an engine setting at about 65% and the Volume of the skip increases with proportionally WITH increase in engine power. I'm certainly no audiophile, but this bug is rather irritating to me. At 100 % power this skipping noise is very noticeable. This is simply a glitch in the sound file for the engine. It should be easily fixable and not a major problem. However, this does need to be fixed. It's rather annoying to say the least at high engine power. The sound is definitely from the engine sound; with cockpit noise muted it is still there. CARENDO PLEASE fix this ASAP in SP1. Flight model: I've never flown a Cirrus in real life. The flight model seems solid and reasonable. The bird has ALOT of power, power on and power off stall (straight and turning) seemed realistic and solid. In full stall the the nose is controllable with the rudder alone. I was not able to keep a continuous full stall for very long as it recovered very quickly. In a Cessna 172 a continuous full stall can be steered with rudder nicely for a long time. I assume this quick stall recovery is next generation leap in wing design from Cirrus over the old school 1970-1980 Cessna 172 designs. I assume there are enough real life G22 GTS drivers out there to have covered this base. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Frame rates seem to be not severely hampered. G1000 terrain feature seemed to slow thing down a little around heavy mountainous terrain. In typical cruise flight frame rates were pretty good without any notable decrease overall. Overall, I feel the Carenado S22GTS is a solid product for the price point. Visuals are outstanding and flight model is generally solid. Typical Carendo release minor bugs come included at no cost. This is all based on a quick 30 minute flight from KHIO to S45 ORBX. Don't expect PMDG level aircraft systems & avionics or RXP level avionics. She's a nice fun bird to fly with ALOT of power. Cheers, BillyBob
  21. I took a gamble and bought the new complete B737-200 package from Captain Sim that was just released. This is the final completed product B737-200 version 1.00. Again, this is not the beta release that has been sold and have had a plethora of complaints. I'm not one to give recommendations to non-PMDG products due to their lack of quality and fidelity. I'm not a captain sim fan due to their history of heavy frame rate hits. However, for the first time the B737-200 had absolutely no frame rate it at all with all add-ons running and max resolution! The exterior, interior and virtual cockpit are beautiful. VC cockpit has great functionality. The flight model is also excellent. I was on my first flight yesterday from KTUS to KSLC at FL340 while, trying to learn the old school autopilot and accidently went into a full stall and spin. After a 15,000 foot loss in altitude I recovered and landed at KSLC. The flight modeling is excellent, stall and spin were very realistic. This product will get an AVSIM gold star award. PMDGer's will be at a miss for not buying this product. While not quite up to the groundbreaking excellence of the PMDG 737NG, it is the closest I have seen a product reach to PMDG level with exception to Level D 767. Again, this has a beautiful modeling inside and out with absolutely no hit on the frame rate. This is a huge step for the Captain Sim product line. Go buy it, or you'll be sorry! Cheers, BillyBob p.s. Upon initial install and load the systems and engines were not running properly and all the systems were weird. A very quick 2 minute, uninstall and reinstall of the product fixed this squak and she we ready for departure.
  22. Thank you Bert!! I'm looking forward to giving this a try this weekend!
