November 25, 200322 yr Could anybody kindly explain to me the function of the 2 water sliders in FS2004. Frankly, in using them, I can't see much difference onscreen.I have a Geforce4TI4200 128 meg vid card.I notice that I can put the "efects" slider to HIGH -- but cannot put both sliders to high. Thanks for any advice Barry
November 25, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hi, When the terains details is set to: Land OnlyYou can use the water effect to high and this will enable the bumpmapping effect on the water. When the terrains details is set to: Land & WaterThe water effect slider will be automaticly set to low and this will enable the fs2002 style water animation. You can't have water effect to high and terrains details Land & Water at the same time, these was created for performance. You can only use animation or bumpmapping, not both at the same time.Bumpmapping:Terains Details slider: Land OnlyWater effect slider: High Fs2002 Rotation Animation style (improved in fs2004):Terrains Details slider: Land & WaterWater effect slider: Low ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
