April 16, 201115 yr Some of you may have heard of labour hire companies. These companies hire personnel to fill positions within other companies on a short term basis, or with a view of permanent employment. As people may tend to get bored flying for the same VA, and to the same destinations on the same routes, i thought an idea might be to, or if it hasnt already been done, initiate a VA that takes on Pilots and loans them out to the various VA's throughout the VA world. For example, a pilot may fly on loan to Delta Virtual for a period of 3 months with hours being credited to that particular VA, and pilot of course, then the next 3 month stint that pilot may find him/herself flying for Qantas, then Lufthansa for the following 3 month stint. If a particular pilot likes what they see within a particular VA, then they may choose to stay. Or a VA may use this process to evaluate a particular pilot, and if they like what they see then offer them a position. If not then no more flying within that VA for that pilot after 3 months.Just something i thought i would throw out there, to see what pilots and those that run VA's think.Would it work?Is it a waste of time?Comments please from pilots and those who run VA's.Pan Pan Pan
April 22, 201115 yr Interesting idea, but as each VA is different and has different requirements, this may be more difficult than it sounds. VATSIM: P2 | I1
April 22, 201115 yr yeah, that is what I was thinkin'I think the overal concept is a good idea, I think putting the concept in actual operation would be very difficult. Some VA's have a lot of rules and regs. and I think it would be tough.now maybe what you could do is to simulate those airlines yourselves, but then if you do, I don't see you being any different then what is already out there as far as flying under one roof for many airlines type of VAfor example:AirsourcePhoenix VAand more, those are just two that came to me without thinking. Ciao!
