April 18, 201115 yr Am a newbie as far as FSX is concerned.I have TTools for FS2004 which works well for me, now got FSX installed.Installed several WOAI in FSX, as not all airlines are in WOAI can I compile a traffic file and the cut and paste this in FSX.I have then modify the airport traffic to my preferences.Does this affect the WOAI packages installed. I have read that when another traffic file is added to FSX the default traffic file is disabled. Are there any other issues which may alter/damage FSX if I use this FS9 compiled bgl for FSX.Have several paid Airports, Ground textures, Photo sceneries, plus free and pay-ware aircraft.Windows 7 Home premium 64bits.

If you place an addon airport above that file, it will overwrite anything below it. So it's layering that you want to make sure is correct. The same applies to the Addon Scenery folder. Just make sure that folder is below any of your addon airports and you should be okay. The traffic file located in Scenery/World/ will not affect your addon scenery.Best regards,Jim
April 18, 201115 yr Download and install AI Flight Planner 2. AIFP2 can convert all your WoAI and/or TTools bgls into FSX format. Or you can use AIFP2 as a flight plan editor and use it to create your custom traffic. Do read the AIFP manual, as there are some considerations about cruise speeds and "@" flight times.scott s..
April 18, 201115 yr Author Thanks for your replies.I did download the AI Flight Planner, but not installed it, as it seemed very complicated compared to TTools which I use for FS2004.That why I thought compiling a bgl with this programme and then putting it in FSX was simpler.Maybe I shall have to do a little more studying.
