The right RAM?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I´m going to upgrade my current system in a few weeks anf therfore I´m opened a thread some time ago. I hab been adviced to an i5-2500k, an Asus P8P67 Pro Mobo and Mushikn RAM like this one here. I currently checked the QVL from Asus after I heard that some folks have problems with their RAM. But now I noticed that this RAM isn´t mentioned in the QVL. I´m curious whether this RAM will function or whether I should go for another one.

Best regards, Steffen

yea, from what I have read on many oc forums, any 1.65 v memory seems to be ok on p67, my muskins are great too at 1.65v...hopefully over the long haul 1.65 won't strain the imc too much as opposed to the suggested 1.5v. I suspect 1.5v will be standard for ivory bridge and intel is just moving that direction to suggested lower voltage ram and started with sb despite very few options out there righ now, but more and more low voltage kits are coming about, but don't think it is a requirement for sb currently as most users have been fine at 1.65v for the last 4-5 months...
