April 29, 201115 yr This is mostly so.I'm sorry for expresing my opinion the unethical way, but that is utter bull$hit. Especially with W7.I just love those so called experts...Since XP I have been testing a non-reinstallation on new mainboard and components and it has never failed me.

So many guys here did the same and everything went right. Also you did the swap and windows booted AFAIK but what´s with me? How I hate that. Sitting here without an own PC. I´ll get it back on Monday, so then I hope to know what was the culprit. I´ll hope they get it fixed without an windows reinstall. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

And I don't know how many times prior to this with other installations. If a boot got damaged, as Dario wrote, maybe that. But I somehow doubt it... while this just being a feeling, you said you tried it repairing and still it didn't boot. I'd guess a broken hardware. But hey... see me.I had a perfectly working, while low performing, FSX, with BP=0, 8xS, getting bit low FPS BUT stable. Now I can't get it to get stable for nothing, with BP=0 that is. Same settings, same drivers, no-go.Boot problems here and there, turn on-off-on on power on etc. I can't seem to find what the problem is.Only components remaining are PSU, CPU and GPU.GPU: stable in Crysis2, Starcraft2...CPU: stable Linx, Prime95, AVX...PSU: stable computer when I load everything I can think of... (GPU tests + CPU tests all together)I hope it works out better for you.
May 2, 201115 yr Author It´s Monday evening now and I finally got my system back and working. Glad everything is ok again. So now I´ll be into the oc things. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

May 2, 201115 yr Author That's good news What was the cause and how did they get your system up and running?Well, Ulf, i dunno. On the bill they wrote something like "edited the registry and set windows up for the ew mainboard." So i really don´t know what they did but who cares? Now it´s working and I can enjoy FSX. Btw. some minutes ago I checked the BIOS cause it seems that speenstep doesn´t work (But this could be a false indication because it´s enabled in the BIOS) and I messed something up with the boot order. Now I´m online again. Strange system, I´ll have to figure some things out. This setup is more complicated as my good ol´ Core 2 Quad (Lying right below me with the old mainboard and 8 Gb DDR2). May 3, 201115 yr Author Hi guys, I have a little problem with Core temp. It doesn´t show the name of the CPU and it´s current clock speed. How can I get it working again? Maybe a reinstall? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
May 3, 201115 yr I use Real Temp to monitor temps and CPU-speed, except when stress testing the system with OCCT. Real Temp here: http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/
May 3, 201115 yr Are the temp readings OK? That's all you need core temp for. Use CPU-Z 1.57 for the clock speed, name, Vcore, etc...
May 3, 201115 yr Author Are the temp readings OK? That's all you need core temp for. Use CPU-Z 1.57 for the clock speed, name, Vcore, etc...Temp´s looking good so far. Got arround 75°C with the oc in prime95.Real Temp also can´t display the CPU name and the clock modulation. That´s pritty strange. CPU-Z can do it and so I checked whether speedstep works and aslo my CPU goes up to 4,3 GHz when in FSX.EDIT: It´s a known bug of the current version that Core temp can´t display the CPU and clock modulation of SB CPUs. The developer is working on a new version where this should work again. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

Latest version.Realtemp is working fine too - not showing the CPU but showing temps - all I really care about. I use CPU-Z to display CPU data - it shows neatly where CPU is and all.
