Black vapor Trail

Featured Replies

All the aircraft vapor trails, waves breaking onshore, and ground dust and debris are black. Until today all these things were white. I downloaded a "Tom" 727 freeware file from the FlightSim aircraft library which had a black engine smoke feature,I uninstalled it, including all the effects, so there are no files left in the FSX program. I'm not sure if that aircraft had anything to do with this, but I suspect it did since the vapor trails now. have the same blocky texture as the black smoke feature. I tried looking for anything in the settings that could cause this, but I can't get rid of the problem,no matter what I try. Short of reinstalling FSX and all the many addons, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.Pete L.

That would most likely violate the copyright. Why not simply try the "Repair" option of the installer? Alternatively there is a program called "Gauges Recovery", available from the AVSIM library, so I guess it's OK to use that one...
