April 29, 201115 yr Macafee won't let me install FS Global 2010, it keeps telling me there is a trojan and yells at me to restart my computer. What do I do?
April 29, 201115 yr Yell back?!?No anti-virus product should inhibit a user's ability to "knowingly" do what they want to do. I'd send Macafee to the Recycle Bin and find something better. I use Avira Antivir Personal because it's effective and it's free. I can also instruct it to disregard it's pop-up notifications and to not worry about the HD that has FSX and all it's assorted stuff on it.
April 29, 201115 yr Could just be a false positive. Is the warning from the AV checker or the firewall? If from the firewall you might be able to ignore it. I can't imagine there bring a trojan in an FS download, but you never know. Turn off your AV and install the file, or not. One of those fun things about owning a computer.Maybe someone who has that file can chime in.I must agree that McAfee and Norton don't seem to be much better that some of the free AVs.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
