May 8, 201115 yr Does anyone know how to optimize the MD-11 auto throttle to work smoothly? I can't seem to figure it out...Thx!
May 8, 201115 yr Clicking the FMS button under the throttle knob will let the FMS control the auto throttle. I wouldn't reccomend this for take off as the plane can easily stall it self. May 8, 201115 yr Author Thanks for your reply! The thing is, I'm talking about "smoothness" when the auto throttle is engaged at cruise, for instance. It seems to move very un-naturally when engaged. How do you smooth it's "realism" effect out? I tried programming it in the FUIPC but no luck.. Thoughts?
May 8, 201115 yr I think he's talking about the thrust levers motion. When A/T is engaged, the levers rather jump from one point to other instead of moving smoothly like it does in a real plane. Matheus Mafra
May 9, 201115 yr Commercial Member This is a limitation in how the animations are programmed - nothing we can do, sorry. NGX should be a lot better in this respect, we reworked how the whole system operates in comparison to the older products.
