A proposal for PMDG, in case they're not doing it already!
Nathan Cupps replied to Kattz's topic in PMDG General Forum
Kev, While the idea of a fully functional and external EFB is good in theory. PMDG has a knack for an unprecedented level of realism in all of their products. The problems involved with a fully functional EFB (mainly licensing data from my understanding) is the main reason it won't be included in the T7. (Also not standard on all T7) I'm sure someone can either quote or post a link to the previous PMDG remarks about the limitations of an accurately modeled EFB. Happy Flying, Nathan -
 Coming Soon™. That is pure genius haha.

Can't wait for further developments as it progresses through its testing fazes. In the mean time, I will be spending countless hours with the newly released with Bioshock infinite.

Hey guys, I'm having trouble activating my 737NGX on my new system. When I put in the code, it says that its reached the full amount of uses and I only have NGX on 3 computers. If I uninstall it off my older system will it then accept my activation code?
-
Is there speculation of the FSL A320 coming out this year?? If so that would just be amazing  Also looking forward to all of the PMDG birds and FTX global. Hell, I may even pick up some good ga this year.
-
Of course I would drop money on any plane that's got that PMDG logo. Even though, I think Ryan has already stated they won't be doing a 757.
-
Hey Brian and Alex, Will the first release of FS2Crew for the T7 include failure procedures/checklists? Or do you plan to implement any of these scenario's once it's already out?

GAMESPY KILLS FSX MULTIPLAYER SERVER.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Gamespy was a POS, but a convenient POS nonetheless. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQS8-MNWAdw With more than nine-teen thousand operations and more than forty million people yearly it is no surprise that Phoenix Sky Harbor is the ninth busiest airport in the US and twenty third busiest in the world. Harsh monsoons can plague Phoenix from July to September and raging sand storms bring all air traffic to an abrupt and grinding halt. With these hazardous weather conditions and the amount of traffic that Phoenix receives daily it is not surprising that Phoenix gets overloaded. The Phoenix Tracon and Local control are ready for the onslaught of traffic. So...are you up to the task of overloading? Join the Albuquerque ARTCC December 1st from 7EST-11EST (2359Z-0400Z) to see if you have what is takes to overload Phoenix. Please read over the pilot briefing to be familiar with Phoenix procedures and what you can expect from the controllers and what the controllers expect from you: http://zabartcc.org/....lot Brief.pdf" Terminal Charts: http://www.airnav.co...m/airport/KPHX" Enroute Charts: http://skyvector.com/" Will you be there?

"NAV DATA OUT OF DATE" or How do I update my fmc.
Nathan Cupps replied to Abern68's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
First of all, it's not by any means required to have current navdata to fly on vatsim. It's certainly helpful to the pilot and controller but I wouldn't go as far to tell anyone they need to update their navdata. Most controllers are flexible and usually don't mind either way. Especially since the only way you can update navigational data is by purchasing it. Although I update mine for PMDG birds every 3-6 cycles. I know some pilots prefer to fly with current airacs. Choice is entirely up to you. Navdata is great for purchasing independent cycles, charts, and they even have an annual package thats discounted. -
Alternatively you can use aircharts to get all of your current charts. http://aircharts.org/ I would recommend their "Leroy" it's a standalone chart finder that is so simple and easy to use and navigate through. -Nathan

Not that I'm a captain, but from general knowledge I would get the chart of my new approach and plan from there. The approach plates will have all the necessary information on it for flying that approach. Some things you might have to change in the cockpit depending on the approach is frequencies, courses, altitude, and or headings. Reprogramming the FMC is a must so it has the current approach and landing information. If you do get assigned a different runway than what you had planned for, you should make sure you're aware of the current weather, so you know what the field conditions are as well. -Nate
