Featured Replies

Hi!Just wanted to know if there is anyone here, that can please show what settings for the weather to use for the MD-11, so that the FMS isn´t always producing Overspeed-Warnings or Altitude errors.I am using REX for the real world weather. Thanks!

OK, so just activating this should solve this problem? I was flying yesterday with my MD-11 and during climb it suddenly gave me an overspeed warning....even though I have activated the smooth wind option in FSUIPC.Is that normal now and then?

No it is not normal if you have FSUIPC set correctly. See this thread about settings http://forum.avsim.net/topic/319286-is-this-realistic-behavior-in-a-85-104-crosswind-at-fl370/. At the time of this topic I was using FSX real world weather (static). Since then I have started to use ASE with the DWC mode. I have reduced the value in the second box from 4 to 1. I have noticed that the previous images are gone so I will post images with the current settings. On three tansatlantic crossings with the current settings I have had no problems with the MD-11.Michael Cubine
