I bought RC a couple of weeks ago. Main problem im having is AI traffic not listening. I thought RC had something to prevent this. Flight from KPHL to KDTW. After US Airways departed ground instucted me to taxi into position and hold. I go to do that and the Delta 737 decided to do the same thing at the same time. This happens regularly. What am I doing wrong. Frustrating waiting then to get picked off by another plane and have to start over...

Hi Jeff,Something we have talked about on the beta team for a long time, hope to see it in v5. Yesterday I flew my LDS from KSFO to KATL and had it happen at both departure and destinations. My issue is not with RC4, but knowing which taxiways AI are using. I have the Airport Diagram for every airport I fly into. Some tell you which way flow is for any given taxiway, other don't. Since ground situational awareness is not yet here, I have turned off crash detection in FSX. Landing in some heavy weather plus lots of AI at KATL makes for a lot of runway and taxiway incursions.Bob

Also make sure in RC General options that Interact with AI is enabled. Prerecorded Chatter should be off and AI chatter should be on. Be aware of comms with AI occuring on the same frequency to keep up your situational awareness of what AI are doing.The only incursion protection in RC4 is freezing ground AI near your runway as you are on the last few miles of final to prevent go-arounds from aircraft entering the runway as you are close to landing.

Bob and Ron,Thanks for the replies. I misunderstood regarding ground handling. I thought that the traffic was frozen on the ground in a radius near your aircraft too. Don't know where I got that from :)On another note. I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment due to being downsized. I wake up early in the morning plow thru new job listings and about 3 pm I'm toast. I take that time and fly or do something around the house. Is there a way that I can get a script of Rc5 voices. I'd like to do a voice sets for the next version while I have the time. Thanks again,Jeff

A call will go out when ready. Phrasing is pretty much the last thing to be done as approved by our ATC 'consultants' and our procedures are working correctly and locked in for final development.
