May 19, 201115 yr Hey there.Don't know if this will help anyone, but anyway. I've been battling with trying to get my rudder pedals to work with the JS4100, while using FSUIPC. They would move slightly but then return to neutral position unless you moved the pedals repeatedly. One hint! TURN ON THE FLIPPING ENGINES! :( What a dumb &@($*! May 20, 201115 yr Deep sympathies, Matthew — that sort of thing can seriously drive anyone nuts. It's only "obvious" with the heavy assistance of 20:20 hindsight, of course. :( But your words are bound to come back to someone in a similar situation who has read your post, so a sincere thank you for sharing! Cheers,Brian
June 6, 201115 yr Same Problem with my Saitek pedals, but it doesn't matter if engines are on, still return to neutral when pushed. Use to work just fine, don't know if something got corrupted or not. James Cromb - KMRB http://www.fs2crew.c..._Line_Pilot.jpg
June 6, 201115 yr Ok, got it sorted out. Found that for the rudder to work correctly I have to be actually moving, otherwise won't function as it should James Cromb - KMRB http://www.fs2crew.c..._Line_Pilot.jpg
June 7, 201115 yr Author Yeh, I also found that to be part of the issue. Have to hand it to PMDG they really make these aircraft ultra realistic! June 7, 201114 yr Not sure if it's entirely realistic for the rudder not to move if the aircraft's not moving...The pedals are mechanically linked to the rudder, so it should still move I believe even if the aircraft's not moving.I can't find any reference if the nosewheel steering is connected at all to the rudder pedals in the real aircraft. In the sim of course, nosewheel steering and rudder is the same due to limitations.I'd think that there'd be some mechanical link between the whole rack & pinion nosewheel steering and rudder pedals to provide some directional control during the t/o and landing rolls...Just can't find a reference anywhere. If the yaw damper is enabled though you will see some strange rudder behaviour. Make sure it's off after landing. Patrick Houghton
