FSX Crashes

Featured Replies

Hello, I installed iFly 737 and FS2Crew Voice but didn't install as administrator. I was getting a dll error ("Can't load iFly737NG.dll") at start up. I uninstalled both products and then reinstalled as administrator hoping it would clear the error. It hasn't so I'm doing research to find out why I get this error. I'm allowed to start up FSX with the plane and nothing appears to be wrong (visually). I only mention this in case it has something to do with the FS2Crew error that I'm now experiencing. I initiate the pre-flight checklist and that runs without a problem but FSX crashes right after the checklist is complete. This is the error I receive:Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: FS2CrewIFly737Voice.GAU Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.86 Fault Module Timestamp: 4dcfc8b2 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0000807f OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033This is a brand new computer (Dell TruStudio i7 with 1 gig video). I have nothing installed except for FSX (sp2) and these programs which have the latest updates.Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info.Mark

Hi Mark,You also said you can't load this DLL: iFly737NG.dllThat's a DLL associated with the iFly 737 itself.Something is messed up somewhere on your system.I'm wondering if you accidentally selected 'no' when FSX asked you if you want to trust and load the iFly module? That sometimes happens. The FS2Crew crash is probably linked to the iFly73NG.dll not loading.I suggest doing two things:1. Ask iFly Support if they have any clue about the iFly737NG.dll2. Delete your FSX.cfg file. It will rebuild when you re-load FSX.3. Do a clean install of FSX.Best,

Bryan,Thank you for the very quick response. I was going to check in with iFly support but thought I would reinstall everything (up until this point, I only uninstalled FS2Crew and iFly). Happy to report that after reinstalling FSX and then iFly, the dll error was no longer there. I reinstalled FS2Crew and everything works beautifully. Great product! So this must boil down to user error. Thanks for the help!Mark
