May 27, 201115 yr ok, wierdest thing I've seen since I had version 3 way back in the 80'sI have no slew mode.and yes I have Y assigned to it, but when I hit y - nothing happens as if my y key is dead, its not.. yyyyyy see?but what else could be causing this? fsuipc? or something else?thanks Ciao!
May 27, 201115 yr ...I have the opposite... when I press Y, the aircraft just skyrockets! Probably (in my case) it is noise from one of the joystick axis. There are also keyboard/joystick settings for the slew mode. Check them out to see if there is anything strange. Edmundo Azevedo
May 27, 201115 yr It so happens I tried slew mode this week for the very first time (and I've been simming for nearly 10 years !) And it didn't work. Pressing Y just paused the sim, but nothing else - I couldn't move the a/c at all, by mouse or keystroke. So I searched the forums looking for someone with the same problem, and couldn't find anybody.Thankfully the solution to my problem was simple - all I had to do was activate Mouse As Yoke (right click on the main FSX screen and select from the pull-down) before pressing Y, and Bingo, now I could move the a/c with the mouse. This may not be the solution to your problem (tho I hope it is), but it may help other Slew virgins like me :(
May 27, 201115 yr Commercial Member Weird as it is, FSX has completely separate joystick assignments for slew mode, so probably one of your joysticks has some axes improperly assigned in the slew mode to plane movement.Simpy check FSX joystick axes assignments in slew mode. Michael A2A Simulations
May 27, 201115 yr Author well the good thing is that it works nowall I had to do was to change the keyboard assignment to ctrl+y and then I switched to another airport!! that is the weirdest, then it worked, I went back to the original airport and then it worked there and has been working since!!oi !! FSX has a mind of its own Ciao!
