FScene X and FScene4X

Featured Replies

As some of you may recall from some of my previous posts, I have had had problems trying to install GE Pro and kept getting the ODBC driver manager error messages along with many more errors. This has been an on-going problem now for quite some time and I have decided not to persue with that anymore. So looking at other ground texture options I want to know some more about FScene which looks like a likely contender, so to speak. I am a bit confused though as to which is the newer version or the best version to get. I noticed there are a few out such as FScene X and FScene4X, so what is the main difference and which is the best one to get? I am also a bit confused to who these products are made by as some seem to be made by FScene and others by Just Flight, or am I reading it wrong?Reading some reviews about these, some people say that that the colours are too bright, epecially very green at times. Is this right? Before I start spending money on this which one of these would be a good addition to have? I already have the original Ground Environment programme installed (not GE Pro as I can't get that to work), so I was thinking of perhaps uninstalling that and going for one of the FScene programmes, or is what I have got already as good as FScene?Any help and advice would be most welcome, thanks.

Hi Mark,Check this http://secure.simmarket.com/off.phtmlI have used this and FSecene X4 and I have to say the Simview one is very good, it looks like UTE.The price is good and the frame 0rates have not been affected.FSecene looks a tad unrealstic as it is too bright.Hope this helps.Mark Oxley

I have been trying to get hold of Ground Textures Plus by Simview for a while now but it has not been available on Simmarket for a long time which I am quite disapointed about as this looked quite good and is reasonably priced too. Do you know where else I can purchase it from as I have searched around and cannot find it available anywhere...???

Yes I know it is on Simmarket but it isn't actually available to buy, there is only the option to 'notify when product is available' and not a 'Buy Now' option....
