May 29, 201115 yr I bought a Saitek Pro Yoke and Throttle last December, and it seemed to work fine until January. In January, the yoke and throttle would lock up when FS-X was started. Since that time I have rebuilt the computer, moved to WIn 7 64Bit, updated the video card, which of course means all new drivers, so I was hoping that what ever was causing the conflict would now be out of the system. I also installed the most current driver from Saitek. However when I tried it again today, the same thing is still happening. The yoke seems to work fine when plugged in. When I check the game controllers section of Control Panel, the yoke shows up fine, all the buttons indicate proper action, yoke and throttle movement show correct, every thing seems fine. When I start FS-X the yoke continues to work fine, until the actual "flight" loads up. As soon as the first view for the flight comes up on the screen, the yoke freezes, no buttons work, nothing. The yoke still shows up fine in the game controllers section, but there are no responses to any button pushes, or yoke movement. Unplugging the yoke and plugging it back in does not help. However once FS-X is shut down, I can unplug it and plug it back in and it will work again until the next time I load a flight in FS-X.My Saitek X-52 works fine and does not have these problems, so I don't think it is an issue with the USB portAny ideas any one?????Computer is Intel Core2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00 Ghz3.00 GB Installed Memory (RAM)Video is a PCIe X16 GeForce GTX 460 SE (Driver 267.24) Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 BitDirectX version 11.0 Kerry W. May 31, 201115 yr Author USBDDeView to force reload of drivers?Hi Jahman. Oh yea, I forgot that part. I have tried USBDeView and I can not see any difference in the indications shown there when FSX starts. Every thing looks exactly the same when the yoke is working before FS-X, as it does after the yoke stops working. The device still shows as 'connected' and every thing else is the same. I have tried the 'Disable+Enable Selected Devices. Is that what you are referring to when you suggest that I force reload the drivers? Or are you referring to something else? One new thing that I have determined, is that if I unplug the yoke, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in, with FS-X running, the yoke will function normally for about 10 seconds before it dies again. Also, I know that the power is not being shut off from the yoke because the timer display still stays illuminated, and moving the mode switch does show a change in the mode indicator on the displayI have tried it on 3 different ports on the computer, with identical results, and again, the Saitek X-52 works just fine. This has me totally baffled. Kerry W. GipeSavannah Georgia, USAUS FAA A&P / Commercial Pilot Multi Engine Land IFRYour talent is a gift from God. How you use your talent is your gift back to God.
May 31, 201115 yr Delete all Saitek software, if you have a Saitek setup program running. Perhaps even delete the driver snd let W7 set up a driver. Use FSUIPC to set up axis, none of that windows calibration. Remember to disable controller in FSX when using FSUIPC.Got UAC in W7 off?!Bjorn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
