June 6, 201114 yr Hey everyone,Make sure where Microsoft says FSX is *NOT* compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit) y'all clik on the "NO" button and correct that information with a resounding "YES!".Cheers,- jahman. That's strange that Microsoft would say FSX is not compatible. I clicked on the no button and said it is compatible but it still continues to say the developer says it is not compatible. Maybe if enough people respond it will be changed. It really doesn't matter that much since a newer version is under development but I really would like to know what Microsoft says doesn't work with Windows 7, 64 bit. In fact, because of the memory issues with 32 bit OS's, it is MORE compatible than the 32 bit version.Best regards,Jim
June 6, 201114 yr Moderator I'm almost wiling to bet that some ad hack who doesn't understand computers saw that FSX is a 32 bit product and out the 'not compatible' in. Problem is that at least one person has reported that MS will not activate the product because it is not compatible. However I have also heard from people who *have* activated the product.Go figure.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
June 13, 201114 yr What's funny is that - as you stated - they say it's not compatible with Win7 64 bit...... but that the Acceleration Pack IS compatible.http://www.microsoft...iving&os=64-bitHow did they get Acceleration to install in Win7 64 bit if it requires FSX to be installed first? Oh, and they also state that FS9 IS compatible with Win7 64 bit.http://www.microsoft...iving&os=64-bitProbably just another case of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing..... LOLGene Gene

LOLGeneNo mystery at all: You're supposed to reformat your HDD, install Win7-32, Install FSX, Install Win 7-64, Install Acceleration, in that order. ROTFL!Cheers,- jahman.

ROTFL!Cheers,- jahman. With that explanation I'm sure you'll be getting that job offer from MS - they may even hire you directly into management..... :( I guess that if one isn't using one of the Acceleration 'features' in Win7-64, they would need to run the sim in 'compatability' mode - or maybe temporarily revert back to Win7-32. :( Gene Gene
