NVIDIA 53.03 - at NVIDIA Site

Recommended Posts

For what it's worth, the certified version from Nvidia's website should give you better compatibility with other software down the road. If you really can't decide, I would pick the certified divers. If on the other hand, your rig is only for FS2004, then this may be less important.Tony

Thanks for the advise. In fact I have a double boot system, with a disk and OS (WinXP) dedicated to FS2004. The other disk runs my other applications. There I have installed the last ASUS drivers, which include 52.16.Meanwhile I have read somewhere else that 45.23 is still the best driver for FS2004. Is it worth a try?Regards,

Hi guys, this is a bit off topic and refers to the RivaTuner utility. I just downloaded the latest RIVATUNER v2.0 candidate 14.2 from Guru3D along with the latest Nvidia drivers (53.03) for my GeForce Ti4200. When I loaded up RivaTuner I noticed under the "Driver Settings" when, as usual, I clicked on "Customize... " and there was no Icon in the control panel for the "60Hz Refresh Rate Fix Wizard". I have always found this function to be very usefull when I install new Nvidia drivers.I have read the notes. Still, I'm not that great at this "Techie" stuff, but I found this under the candidate Rivatuner v2.0 14.1 notes:"Blocked driver-level 60Hz fix for NVIDIA ForceWare drivers. This module is not required for new generation drivers, because NVIDIA finally provided unified Direct3D / OpenGL refresh override tool in ForceWare control panel".This is what I was wondering about, and forgive my ignorance, I'm still not sure what this "Direct3D / OpenGL refresh override tool" is or how to use it. I cannot figure out how to use it to get the same results as in the past. I'm stumped, these 50.xx drivers are getting really complicated (for me anyway), I know they probably aren't though...LOL!! Can anyone give me a clue as to how I can perform the Refresh rate fix using the latest Nvidia drivers?Regards,Tom Stewart
