June 9, 201114 yr For those who dig naval aviation, Dino Cattaneo just released the newest version of the Goshawk. Flies nice, great VC, and a detailed model.http://indiafoxtecho...h/label/GoshawkDid some trapping on the Nimitz, great stuff. June 10, 201114 yr I just got that last night too...very nice.Let me ask you a question...what is the parameter for a carrier landing...in other words, is there a certain speed or vertical speed that must not be exceeded to make a successful landing?tks
June 11, 201114 yr Dont look at vertical speed. just around 140 kts, speed brakes deployed, flaps down and gear down. remember its a bit backwards, throttle to control descent, pitch to control speed, aim for that yellow dot on the AOA indicator on left. Basically arrow points up. pitch up. arrow points down, pitch down, takes lots of practise. Yellow dot, correct speed
June 11, 201114 yr Author My recommendation is to get the follwoing files so you can get the "E" AOA indexer in the HUD:NEW Realistic HUD for the FSX Acceleration F/A-18 HornetRealistic F/A-18 HUD for Dino Cattaneo's Goshawkathttp://www.simviation.com/1/search?subm ... ko+Rusev.+This will allow you to configure the plane for the proper AOA for landing. And this video should be instructive for carrier landing:http://www.vimeo.com/2950519 R9-9950X3D 32G | RTX5090 | 3T m.2 | Win11 | vkb-gf ultimate & pedals | virpil cm3 throttle | tm boeing yoke | pimax super uw | DCS
