Graphics Card Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hey All,I have the opportunity to get my hands on the above mention card second hand, and would like to hear your opinion on if it would make a sense to go for it?My current rig is as follows:CPU - QX9650 @ 3 GHz (not overclocked)RAM - 8gig DDR3 1600MhzMB - EVGA 790i Ultra SLIPS - 1000WGPU - Geforce 9800GTX+Do you reckon that the 560 TI would be worthwhile in my rig?ThanksRegardsRobert

It would probably bottleneck. I wouldn't do it. Your computer is fast enough as it is for flight sim.

There's will be some difference - how much in FSX I'm not exactly sure. In a GPU limited game, a 560 will blow away the 9800 - 2 to 3 times the performance with better image quality easily.

I got a huge performance boost after I upgraded my system with a GTX560ti, but only after a re- format to the system just like Ryan said in another post.

Nishan Paul.

Intel 920 @ 3.83ghz, 6gb DDR3- 1600 Kingston HyperX RAM,Cosair H-80 liquid cooling, Asus GTX660TI  Graphics, Nvidia surround multi (3) monitor, Cooler Master GTX 750 PSU,  Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, Saitek york, pedals & quadrants, TrackIR 5, EZDOK Camera.

Now start saving up for a new cpu, mb, and memory for some real speed!

Hi Rob,please write your impressions after buying.I have the same rig and the same perspectives of upgrade. Basicly I happy with performance. Would be very interesting to know does it worth to spend money especially in terms of FSX?
