Creating new Folder for FSX

Featured Replies

Hi All;My machine is running Windows Home Premium 64bit and currently have FSX saved to C:\Program Files (x86)\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Also installed there is FS2004 and CFS3. I know that some addons scenery aircraft etc will not run when saved to the program file so how do I go about creating a new file to save them to? Do I go to Compurter; Right click on C:\ then create a new file or is that the wrong or is there a different way to do it? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks Gazza :(

The safest, simplest and least problematic way is to uninstall FSX from it's current location and reinstall it to a new location. There are other methods BUT if you don't do them correctly would result in having to ireinstall anyway so - uninstall and reinstall and be done with it.Vic

Yeah, the add-ons have to actually be within the folder where FSX is installed. You can't just put them somewhere else.

Hi Guys,Thanks for replying. I realise I need to reinstall to a new folder and put add ins etc there, but in my original question, I needed to know how to create a new folder for it under C:\ drive. Thanks Gazza

The same way you create a new folder anywhere - Right click, select New and then select Folder. In your case you want to have navigated to your C folder first and then Right click on a blank area to start the process.Hope that helps.
