I have just finished the fantastic ITVV DVD on the Concorde. Being on the west coast of the US, I have never had the chance to see one (but will soon in Seattle). I just wanted to say that I mourn the loss of this symbol of British aviation. This DVD really drove it home on what this plane can do and didfor many years. It appears that BA now is just another airline, along with all the other majors. As a side note, I cannot recommend any of the ITVV products enough, they are simply the best (yes, I own about 15 from many different producers).Concorde, what a loss... for all of us.With that said, can anyone give me a recommendation on getting a good plane and panel setup working in FS9?

Hi Mike,Thank you for those nice words about Concorde. Coming from an overseas admirer it means so much more. I'm sure you'll love seeing what was the world's most admired passenger aircraft when you visit Seattle. I was at Manchester airport here in England on 22 October when "Alpha-Charlie" flew in and parked opposite the Viewing Park so that the thousands who had gathered there could admire her. The take-off was amazing. Full reheat and she was at 5,000ft within a minute! Wow! It's a real shame she's been grounded denying you a chance to see her in the skies.I have several of the ITVV videos and the Concorde one stands out. The Captain and Engineer explain everything so well without ever patronising the viewer. I would recommend this series to any aviation lover. The best Concorde currently available is available here www.fsfrance.com/Projets/Mach2/Main_fr.htmCheers,

For myself, I was lucky enough to be present at Heathrow on the last day as part of the St. John Ambulance prescence. It was truly a day to remember. If anyone's interested, I have a report on the event here:http://www.toomuchfs.com/Alastair

Alastair,That's a nice write-up on what was a very emotional day. BA and Air France - hang your heads in shame for not keeping one aircraft flying.Cheers,

I agree with Ray, excellent article you wrote there Alastair. I was there that day too and got my photo of Concorde, http://www.airliners.net/open.file/449263/L/ :)Flew in from Sweden the day before and left the day after, and I must say that it was more than well worth the money, just to be there for the end of supersonic travel for now, and I'll never forget the emotions as the last one passed, standing among thousands of other people from all over the world, incredible! :)

Thanks Ray,I agree with you about the crew. Since I have never seen the flight deck of the Concorde, I have heard comments on its size. This makes me wonder if the video operator was actually there? If not it is quite some feat. The Captain was great. However, I trully was enthralled with Roger, the flight engineer. Talk about professional. I get this underlying sense that he has been doing this a great long time and if given the parts, could probably assemble the plane himself. He is great.
