Connecting two keyboards to one PC

Featured Replies

Hello,I have seen some videos where there are two keyboards connected to one PC, with one keyboard being the overhead panel. I would like to know how to use two keyboards on one PC, as this will enable the possibility of creating a simple overhead panel for use in FSX. Thank-you for any suggestions.

Thanks,

Kevin L

Yeah, just adding another keyboard will work. In fact, there are a few mechanical keyboards that register themselves as multiple virtual keyboards, to get around the 6-key rollover limitation of USB.However, I'm not sure if you can actually get them to send different commands from the same keys (like, say, C on one keyboard sending a command, and C on the other sending something different).

Do you know if it works with the traditional keyboard connector?

Thanks,

I had some PS/2 and a USB one running simultaneously, but you won't achieve the multiple approach on the older PS/2 interface only easily I think.
