Aliasing and Slight Stutter

Featured Replies

Hi!I just build a system (2500k OC'd 4.7GHz, GTX 560 ti) Everything seems to be good, but sometimes I'll look to a far off runway and there are line segments moving. It's as if the the sides of the runway are conveyer belts. Also, although my frames are great, sometimes I'll get a weird stutter. Also, when moving outside screen view the scenery ripples sometimes. It's not a huge issue, but if it can be fixed I'm all for that.RubenEdit: Inspector is configured per PMDG's Ryan.

The ripple can be fixed by setting Vsynch to always ON.Stutter could be anything, a program starting up, new sounds or texture trying to load... you'llhave to study it a bit and narrow down the circumstances. A really nasty one is Java occasionally trying to access the Internet.. Check your Java settings in Control Panel. Under Advanced/Misc/ uncheck Quickstarter.

Or it could be this:http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=347237- and a load of other issues:I just found out that Flashplayer was updating every so often, I killed that!- and Google updater, Java, for sure.. MS update surely, NOD 32, yes...- and Skype, Jdownloader, Malwarebytes, Trojanremover, Spywareblaster, SpyDoctor, etc. etc.

Thanks. Looks like the ripples are gone. I might just be crazy, but even though I'm getting 40 frames it still looks a little choppy. Sadly I'm trying to create that "there" feeling in a 3mil GA aircraft I can't afford. :P Also, I'm still within my 30 day return limit and I must say I'm happy with everything, but do you think the GTX 560ti is a bottleneck? I see mixed opinions on this.Edit: I don't want to discount your tips! They are all great. PFL and Bert I'm truly seeing performance increases. :) As for the dirty power, I'm a bit weary on that.
