Ihave recently purchased PMDG 737 NG for FS 2004. ok i got a message that my version of FS9 version 0 is not compatable, it needs version FS9 version 1. Searched the web and got into Microsoft and downloaded the upgrade from them to version 1. Now i have a error message " Update Error Type : 34 ".Any help out there

It is almost certain that you will need to do a fresh install of FS9 in order to apply the patch. Sorry for the bad news but I doubt you will succeed with a copy of FS9 that has had any mods done to it of almost any kind. I may be wrong and hope for your sake that I am, but I doubt it can be done except with a fresh, unmodified installIan

If you are using a no CD file, instead of the original FS9.exe, you need to replace FS with the the original file first. Then reinstall the FS9.1 upgrade. That made a similar issue I was having this week finally recognize 9.1 and work. Then you can find a FS9.1 no CD file to use if you wish to do so.
