Ouch , is that so ? Hmm i got to check my resolution than, hope it's not going below 1280x1024 and then switching to 1024x768 in a windowed mode.
I'm using a primary wide 22" at 1680 * 1050 with FSX in a full extended window (and an automatic hiding task bar), and a secon one, a 17" at 1280 * 1024 to put on charts, instrument undocked windows, teamspeak etc.No problem on my ATI 5770 and with FreeTrack.Mauro

Damn, I should have bought the 5770 when i could , i new it's a good card. Ok, my GFX card is now the bottle neck as @1280x1024 it kills fps and @1024x768 it gives a good performance guess time to upgrade from HD 5450.

Now the FPS is fine almost at every part of the world. Freetrack is on the 2nd core and working well. :)

All my settings are all max except water which is @high 2.x (sh3) , traffic is 30% , no bloom or lens flare , Aircraft shadows are ON, Autogen and terrain is at very dense.Framerate is set to unlimited and using the external limiter. I have not OC'ed my CPU after using these tweaks. :) so happy that VFR flight's are gonna be real fun, oomph except don't have the navigation charts :(

I suggest you to try with water set to "low 2X", I had good improvement in some scenery, and water graphic is non so worst.Another try you can do is set FSX to unlimited without use any external limiter, than check if there are improvement. If not, resume youre settings.About VFR charts, some are available on the net, what area is the one you're interested?Mauro

@ low 2x the water looks real bad. I tried with unlimited FPS without an external limiter pulling @ 27-34 fps.well i am from India and i fly from VABB (Bombay) - VAPO (Pune International Airport + AFB) till date i haven't found any charts to these areas except the ICAO charts. I don't mind flying in Europe or anywhere in North America. I am currently just doing VFR flights and then go ahead with IFR.
