FS2Crew re-install issues

Featured Replies

Just did a complete un-install of the iFLY and fs2crew. Upon re-installing ( Per the manual and in admin) im having a major issue.I cant get fs2crew to run. I've added to the panels via the config manager but when i click the backup attitude indicator, nothing happens. I even tried an uninstall again of fs2crew and downloaded the newest updated version Windows7fs9 updatediFLY purchased after updatenewest version of fs2crew just downloaded today.

Hi, Are you running the iFly Config Manager as an Admin?Right click the icon for the Config Manager and select "Run as Admin".If you're not running as an Admin, Windows may block the iFly Config Manager from updating files located in the Program Files folder. You might also want to disable UAC.You can visibility check if it worked by opening some of the panel.cfg files for the iFly with Notepad, and check to see if you see FS2Crew entries in.Best,

Hi,If you're an Admin and UAC is off and and you're clicking "Update" in the iFly Config Manager and there appear to be no FS2Crew entries on the panel.cfg file for the iFly models, then my only other guess is maybe you have a Registry issue. Please run the free Flight1 Registry repair tool via here:http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryYour Panel.CFG files for the iFly should have a section like this in the top.Note the FS2Crew entries starting from Window 21.Note if the they're not there, do "not" add them manually.[Window Titles]Window00=Dummp PanelWindow01=Captain's VFR PanelWindow02=First Officer's VFR PanelWindow03=Yokewindow04=Throttle Quadrantwindow05=Forward Overhead Panelwindow06=After Overhead Panelwindow07=After Electronic Panelwindow08=Captain's CDUwindow09=Panel SelectorWindow10=Captain's IFR PanelWindow11=First Officer's IFR Panelwindow12=First Officer's CDUwindow13=CAPT PFD POPUPwindow14=FO PFD POPUPwindow15=CAPT ND POPUPwindow16=FO ND POPUPwindow17=CAPT UPPER DU POPUPwindow18=CAPT LOWER DU POPUPwindow19=FO UPPER DU POPUPwindow20=FO LOWER DU POPUPWindow21=FS2Crew Main PanelWindow22=FS2Crew Configuration PanelWindow23=FS2Crew Marshaller PanelWindow24=FS2Crew PA PanelWindow25=FS2Crew FA PanelWindow26=FS2Crew Briefing Panel

Do you see the lines I mentioned above in the panel.cfg file for the IFly?For FS9, the panel.cfg will be in this folder... open with Notepad:Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\iFly 737-600\panel.normal\If it still doesn't work, contact me via the Contact page on the FS2Crew website and we'll sort it via a Remote Desktop.Best

I by some way of a miracle got it working. I tried a re-install again.. no joy.. so I decided what the heck... while the panel was installed....I unchecked the FS2Crew Voice option via the Config and updated. Then I ran the Install again.... checked the fs2crew via the config, updated and poof... it worked...IDK what the deal was with that... but it works now... im sorta scared of why it was giving me issues like that ... but im not really a computer geek.

Hi,Glad you got it sorted.I personally can't explain that... computers can be weird, but the important thing is you got it running. As for your comment:

im not really a computer geek.
Sorry, but the second you installed Flight Simulator, and then installed an add-on for Flight Simulator (the iFly) and then installed an add-on for an add-on (FS2Crew), you did more than cross the Geek Line, you did an Olympic pole vault over it :( Don't worry, you're among friends here :(
