First FSX start of the day takes endless time

Featured Replies

Gentlemen, I could need your advice. When I start FSX for the first time of the day, or when I added scenery, the first start of the program takes extremely long (up to 10 minutes). All my cores idle, FSX seems to hang, but it really doesn't - it just takes unbelievable amounts of time. Once the start screen is reached, it's fast againThat's only in situations described here, the next start is pretty fast (from start to flying in app. a minute or so).I have a lot of sceneries installed (my scenery.cfg has more than 400 entries) - but my computer is fast and well equipped (i5 at 4.3Ghz, 8GB fast memory, everything on SSDs).Any ideas why this could be and most of all - what to do against it?

You'll get more help from the regular FSX Forum. This forum is exclusively for CTD's. :(
