July 17, 201114 yr Hello all,I've come to the avsim forum in the hope that you can answer a few questions for me. I'm a keen flight simmer and have decided that my old joystick isn't really up to much when it comes to delicate flying for civil aviation planes. As a result, I'm keen to purchase a yoke and rudder set for myself to use with FSX.I've narrowed my search down to: the VRInsight FLightmaster Yoke, the Precision Flight Controls yokes, or the ELITE Yoke.I have searched this forum already for information and have a few questions to try and help me decide.Which is the easiest to set up with FSX? I'd prefer something that is simple and doesn't take a lot of configuring.Do the PFC yokes still knock against the inbuilt throttle as I have read they used to?But the main question is, which offers the best experience and why? I imagine the ELITE is probably the best, based on its price, but of the PFC and VRinsight I don't know if there's much in it other than the PFC having buttons on the yoke.Of the three, which would you personally choose?Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Kind regards,Richard
July 17, 201114 yr Good-day Richard,I've had the PFC Saab Column Yoke since January of this year and love it. It is USB ...plug & play and it was a breeze to set up and use in 10 minutes..Regards,jen
July 18, 201114 yr No you do not have to use FSUIPC with the PFC Column yoke or rudder pedals. I do not have it on my setup and it works flawlessly...Regards,jen
July 18, 201114 yr You do need to use the FSUIPC program with that one don't you?HelloYou will have an easier time of it if you do use FsuipcIf only for the automatically loading aircraft profiles which will save you reconfiguring your hardware for each aircraft.
