Another Fuel Planner

Recommended Posts

...Eric: You mentioned the alternate fuel was incorrect. I don't quite understand. My alternate was KCOS, which I didn't mention before. Just curious, since I'm here to learn. I just took a look at your spreadsheet after writing the message and like it quite a bit. I'll try another flight tonight and mess around with it. Now I need a good one for the MD-11, I hardly fly the 747 anymore. Thanks all,Chris K.
I took another look at the weight loading and compared to the manuals and it would appear we may both be right. According to the manual, the tipping point for alt fuel is less than 540,000 lbs and over 541,000 to fall into the next category. The alternate landing weight is in fact 540.4, which is in the gray area here. Some odds eh?

Hi George & Kagan, If it's alright with you I'd like to post links for both your fuel planners to the Dantrix site as a reference.I'm keeping a list of the fuel planners out there. Is this OK with you? Here's the link to the thread... http://www.dantrix.n...=303&hilit=fuel Let me know? ThxMark

Try this one. I made it according to the PMDG manual. All you have to do is to enable macros and fill in the green cells (you cannot select the others anyway). I've also included some performance calculations which might be useful for some. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OS9UCU0I Let me know what you think and maybe I can try uploading it at AVSIM library...
Hi George, I clicked this link and it seems not to be available any more. Do you have a permanat home for your fuel planner? If so, can you post the link and I'll add it to the fuel planners list over at Dantrix. CheersMark

Sorry for my very late reply Mark, but I had some issues I had to take care of... A new and permanent (I hope) link is the following: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39692029/747%20Fuel%20Planner%20%28imperial%29.xls Let me know if this works. Thanks!
