July 23, 201114 yr Hi, please tell me if this question is in the wrong sectionAnyway, here's my issue: As you know at VHHX aircraft land with a final turn, and in FSX I have a scenery which tells AI aircraft to fly that way. However some aircraft fly nice and straight down the middle of the approach while others fly way to the left in an unrealistic fashion. There's even a 737 that flies up and down and touches ground inside some houses. (would like to post a video I've recorded but cannot upload it)The manual of this scenery states that this behavior is coded inside the Aircraft.cfg file, and it is also intended to simulate the usage of different procedures at the real VHHX airport. But I want to eliminate this. So, is it possible to take the parameters from the .cfg of the aircraft that fly correctly and put it into the .cfg of those that don't? Anyone can tell me how to do this?Thank you in advance Specs: Windows 7 64bit / Intel Core i5-3550 @3.30 GHz / 8.00 Gb RAM / ATI Radeon HD 7800 2Gb
July 23, 201114 yr Moderator Unfortunately, the parameters within an aircraft.cfg are unique to a specific aircraft. They work together in such a way as to create a synthesis of their individual parts. Worse still, the .air file parameters are also added into this mixture to create the whole flight model. In simpler words, there's no generic answer to your question. Fr. July 25, 201114 yr Hi,Actually, with AI models I do it all the time.Find a similar plane that makes the approach correctly. Then:1. Back up your original AI's aircraft.cfg file by renaming it aircraft_old.cfg2. Copy the aircraft.cfg and AIR files from the plane that flies right into the bad plane's folder.3. Replace the fltsim sections in the copied cfg file with those of your old cfg file.4. Replace the Contact Points and Lights sections in the copied cfg file with those of the old cfg file.5. Change the sim= line in the copied cfg file to that of the new AIR file you just copied over. Now the 737 should fly like the other plane.Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
