Recommended back-up programs

Featured Replies

Hey guys,I was wondering what back-up programs are recommended. Prefreably it's something like Apple's time machine which works without me having to do anything yet providing me with a perfectly useable backup of all I have on my computer. Windows Backups doesn't really cut it for me. It seems about as simple as the complete genome of the elephant, and I'd like to have something more "transparant". Any good, reliable back-up programs out there?

Genie Timeline works for me http://www.genie9.com/free_products/free_timeline.aspxA simple, "set it and forget it" backup and versioning program. I'd recommend the payware (Home) version though, as in the Free Editon the automatic backup feature is locked in at 1 hour intervals, and the feature to consolidate and purge unnecessary old files is disabled (possibly leading to maxing out your hard drive rather quicky if your work involves a lot of frequently changing large files).

Thanks for the tip, seems to look quite okay indeed. Any more recommendations?
