Checklist:In FS you have your plane loaded parked with electronics and avionics powered up before pressing the start button in RC.In RC options you have autotune on contact selected. If this is a new RC install you have upgraded FSUIPC (and makerwys) per the pinned topic at the forum top.]You have FS as the active window by clicking on your aircraft panel, not the RC window before pressing your menu key.You are not running an add-on including an aircraft with its FMC set to capture your keyboard strokes.Be sure no other app is running with conflicting keyboard assignments.Make sure your wav and main volume sliders in Win are turned up. To prevent confusion your FS ATC sound slider can be turned down.To check for conflicts use just FS with a default aircraft and RC.

i think this has been covered, in the quick start section, and a number of times here.two possiblities. from what you said, the most likely issue is that you started fs AFTER rc. it's the other way around. fs has to be started, plane at the gate, clock on the panel ticking away - BEFORE - rc is started. not on the fly now screen, not on the flight planner screen, not on the select a flight screen. at the gate, ready to gothen start rc, load your plan, set your options, and then click the start rc button.WHY? rc needs to tell fs which keys i'm going to be listening for. with fs not running, fs never knows what keys i'm looking for, and rc never sees the keysthe other possibility, and this could be in conjunction with the firstif your third party add-ons, planes, utilities, etc use the same keys as rc, rc never sees them. you have to configure rc to look for something else. for instance ctrl-shift-1 instead of 1 or ctrl-shift-2 instead of 2.try the first, see if that works. you have to use that sequence from now on anyway. fs, fly now, rc, load plan, set options, click start rcif it doesn't work, continue to start up in that sequence, but change the rc key options to ctrl-shift-1, ctrl-shift-2, etc - then try itif neither of those works, make a log, be sure to click debug before loading your plan. instructions pinned to the top of the forum. duplicate the problem, press the keys, close rc, zip up the log, and send it to me, with a description of what keys you hiti'll tell you what's going wrong on your machinejd
