July 28, 201114 yr ASE is installed on my FSX computer because I originally believed it has to be there. Will it work just as well on a network PC using WideFS? Will a move help frame rates?Am I allowed to move ASE from FSX to network PC?I presently use the network PC for Electronic Flight Bag display, Plan-g, etc. and it works very well. Here is the setup; FSX PC has 3 monitors using Radeon "eyefinity". Network PC has separate monitor. Thanks for any help.Neal H Neal Howard
July 28, 201114 yr I obviously can't speak officially but as long as ASE is only online active on ONE pc there shouldn't be a problem. HiFi are very good at sorting activation problems if they occur (as I well know as I made a stupid error with mine lol). The manual is helpful with the connection over network and shiuld be ok as you are already running stuff over a network - should be a better solution as regards cpu usage.John E
July 28, 201114 yr Hi, You may install ASE on the networked computer and then un-install on the FSX computer. With FSX we don't use WideFS for networking, but we use SimConnect. There is a networking chapter in ASE help that will walk you through the process and we can answer specific questions here. Yes, do all this can free up some resources on the FSX computer!
