I just replyed in a thread and and could not paste a link to download GPU-Z into my reply. I also could not paste any plain text into my reply. I just tried the same thing here and I can not do either one. You can not even copy some text from your own reply and paste it somewhere else in your reply. It seems that the copy and paste functions have been completely blocked/disabled since the forum update.

Hi idahosurge, I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue on our forums. I tried to replicate your concern but couldn't. Can you share your browser and version please?

IE8 v8.0.7601.17514 I just tried again to paste something into this reply and cannot. The paste function when you right click is greyed out. I can paste into the avsim search box in the top right corner of this screen, the box under your user name, but I can not paste into this reply. When I hightlight something in this reply I can not copy it. When you hightlight something and then right click the copy function is greyed out.

Hello again idahosurge, Try this, highlight what you want, press CTRL+C (Copy shortcut); then navigate to where you want to paste and press CTRL+V (Paste shortcut). Let me know if that works. I see that IE8 has some users that lose the right click method of copy and paste function when they have conflicting add-on's. You may want to reference this Microsoft Answer's page I found on Google: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_other/cut-and-paste-function-in-explorer-8/5141b9c9-460b-414c-bd4d-6825731d9c1c

That works, but the avsim forum is the only forum that I have this problem with. IE8 works fine in all other forums that I want to copy and paste stuff into a response so it is something to do with the avsim forum or something to do with the way the avsim forum interacts with IE8. Also I did not have this problem with the avsim forum until the forums were changed last week or when ever it was that the last recent change took place.

I tried this out in IE9 and IE8 and it works for me. Being this is the first complaint I've seen or received about the copy feature, I believe this may be local on your computer. As detailed in that post I sent you, it is possible a setting could have been changed along with a recent update in your security settings. At either rate, I'd be curious to see if you upgrade to IE9 if that would fix your issue? (so long as you are a Vista or 7 user). Please let me know if you choose to upgrade if that resolves your issue.

It is not just my computer, I am on another computer right now with IE8 and it acts the exact same way. Like I said, I did not have this problem until the forums were changed. Changing the forums messed something up and while it does not affect everyone it does affect some people. Also like I said the problem is only avsim forums, I do not have this problem on other forums, only the avsim forum. You can go check out this thread, irocx also has a problem with editing posts.http://forum.avsim.n...pic/340874-sdk/
