Hi I have had FSX for sometime and never has a problem with it until now,When I click on the icon to start FSX,it comes on,I use asminstrator rights also,the icon stays on for a few mins then it goes off,I have turned off my my virus checker,that does not help,also I loaded disk 1 and disk 2 to do a repair,and that did not do anything, I was looking in the control panel and I see where it shows M.S. flight sim X acceleratorno-10.00.61637.0 is installed,is this the full program FSX and accelerator,or is something missing. I am using windows 7.would apprfeciate any help,I just cannot think of anything else to do except uninstall and reinstall. thanksRocky4

Have you checked in the Windows Task Manager to see if FSX is actually running and loading, you might have to wait awahile for it to load up the main screen. Otherwise, you can try clicking on the icon in the main FSX folder and see if it opens.

Hi Kendall thanks for help,task mgr says FSX is running,but it only runs for about 15-20 seconds and then goes off,task mgr goes off too.I tried clicking on FSX on the main FSX,still does not come on,any other ideas or suggestions,I see your from Minnesota,so am I thanks Rocky4

Hi Rocky, sounds like you might have a corrupt logbook, try repairing with this utility found in the library http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxutil&DLID=98186 and see if it helps.Sorry I can't help you with being stuck in MN.... Hope you're in a cooler part of the state. BTW do you captn Delta #8887 by chance?? Go Twins.
