August 3, 201114 yr Author You live and learn. You'll need to set "AI Overclock Tuner" to Manual before you can raise the multiplier Dario, what Cpu Vcore value are you using? If you can share all your important settings, I'd certainly appreciate it. MSFS
August 3, 201114 yr Dario, what Cpu Vcore value are you using? If you can share all your important settings, I'd certainly appreciate it. Check this out buddy. Not only mine but Stephen's, Corey's and many other's settings thereI use Offset Vcore to enable C1E (Vcore throttling down when idle) and I have 1.36V at full load with those settings. 1.34-1.35 in FSX
August 3, 201114 yr Author As I said you live and LEARN! I was wondering why I was getting some stutters and scenery lags especially in the forest areas of FTX. I cogitated overnight and tried different drivers to see if it would rectify the lags. Then it hit me: THE RAM. All slots are full. I decided to take out two Dimms, 4 gigs of ram. Low and behold, I couldn't believe it. Not only are the stutters and lags gone, but temps dropped about 10 degrees. Amazing! Now my only concern is whether 4 gigs is enough. I flew everywhere with the Mustang, with poor whether and did not experience any OOM errors. Dario, do I need more ram or is 4 safe? MSFS

August 3, 201114 yr That's really weird. I didn't notice any increased stuttering when I added my 2nd pair of 2GB sticks, let alone 10 more ºCWhat happens if you use the other 2 sticks?
August 3, 201114 yr Author It's very interesting. When I first built the computer on Monday I put 4 sticks into the slots and one gtx 480. After I installed windows I put the second gtx card, then the Revo Drive. As you know the performance was there, but I was plagued by stutters and lags only in certain areas. It just was not as smooth as it could be. I have also been looking at the temps. They were in the 40s at start up. Now with 2 sticks they are in the 30's. It does jump with FSx, but nowhere near the way it was before I removed the two sticks. I'm wondering if it's the RAM or a BIOS issue. I loaded the latest BIOS 0606 right after I installed windows. So I either have to wait for a new BIOS or get new ram. I'm not sure if additional RAM might be needed. So far, so good. But, it could all change by tomorrow. Jose MSFS
