August 2, 201114 yr Hi everyone.I just installed the Captain Sim weather radar on some of my planes and it somehow deletes the Recent Comms feature. It installs its self right over where that was written in the panel cfg file. so it is no longer there. I think the only way around this is to uninstall Vox,then install the Weather Radar, and then reinstall Vox after that has been done. Has anyone heard of this this kind of conflict before? Thanks.Dennis Dennis Elliott
August 2, 201114 yr Author Sorry about the three posts. I don't know what I did wrong there!Dennis Dennis Elliott
August 2, 201114 yr Author Yes. It thinks that the panels are still installed,so nothing to do there.I e mailed Tegwyn about this and he will check it out,but in the meantime I am going to uninstall Vox,put in the Capt Sim radar, and then install Vox again, and hope Vox installs under the radar...so to speak.I will report back with the results. Thanks for the reply.Dennis Dennis Elliott
August 2, 201114 yr Author O K.I reinstalled Vox after the CaptSim radar was all set up and all is well. It seems that Vox knows where to install it'selfI would like to explain how this all came about. I have the iFLY 737-NG for FSX installed, and it is an, incredible product, and I was on their forum (Flight one/ iFLY JETS/ Pilot lounge. when I came across a post that shows you how to install weather radar in the VC so it looks just like the real plane, and it replaces one of the gauges in the pedestal just like the real thing, it works beautifully, and I was enjoying it very much for a few days, when I needed to call up Recent Comms, and found out it was not available anymore. Upon checking the panel cfg for that plane I noticed that the CaptSim radar was installed right where the Recent Comms used to be. So if anyone would like to use this radar setup, you will have to do as I did if you still want the Recent Comms feature.Tegwyn is looking at this at the moment, and may well come up with a fix soon. Thanks for everything, and all the best.Dennis Dennis Elliott
