FSBuild 1.43 flight planning question?

Featured Replies

I'm wondering how I should go about using a program such as FSBuild to plan flights since it includes departing and arriving runways in the plan. How does one handle this if the arriving and departing runway(s) is(are) different than that which is entered in the plan? Is there a way to build a plan without runway info? Should the plan be built after getting enroute weather? If the runway is different, do you just ignore the plan? Is the reason that runways are included that often runway defines the SID or STAR that is used? There, that's enough questions for one post. Thanks for any info!sg

The departing runway controls the starting position that is put into the plan. After saving as an FS2002 plan, you can text edit this to a parking spot, or another runway. It is true that some SID / STAR are runway dependent. There's not much you can do about that, in FS2002 anyway. But FS2002 ATC doesn't do STARs. You can always enter a direct to the IAF or FAF in the GPS or addon FMC if weather gives youan unexpected approach. scott s..
